Guan Weixing (關維興 1940 ~ ) Guan Weixing was born in Dunhua County, Jilin Province, China in 1940. In 1960, when Guan Weixing was still a first grade student in Luxun Fine Arts Academy, Eugen Popa, a Romanian Professor, broke a rule in order to accept Guan into his oil painting training class. And in 1962, he was graduated a master. So far, many of his works have been published, collected, and exhibited not only in many national exhibitions but also in international ones held in America, Japan, France and so on. Among them, "First snow" won the gold medal in the American watercolor exhibition; "Friends" was awarded at 126th Annual International Watercolor Exhibition in USA, and was selected for the annual traveling exhibition. The book 《Memories of Peking: South Side Stories》, containing more than 80 illustrations by Guan Weixing, won International Best Illustration Award in 1992,1993 and 1994. 關維興 (관 웨이씽)은 1940년 중국 吉林省, 敦化(길림성, 둔화) 출생. 1960년, Guan Weixing 이 아직 "루쉰미술대학"의 1학년 밖에 되지않았을때 루마니아人 교수 Eugen Popa가 학교의 규정을 깨고 그를 유화반에 받아들인다. - 1962년에 학업을 마침. 그의 많은 작품이 출판되거나 미술품 수집가에 의해 수장(收藏)되고 중국국내는 물론 미국 일본 프랑스 等.. 해외에서도 많이 전시되었다. 그 中 "First snow(첫눈)"은 미국 수채화 전시회에서 金메달을 수상 하였고 "Friends(친구들)"은 126회 미국의 국제 수채화 전시회에서 수상하고 연례 순회전시회를 갖기도 하였다. 출판된 서적《北京의 추억: 南方 이야기》는 해외에서 수상한 걸작 80 작품 이상 수록하고있다.
